Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains the terms under which AI Dream Companion ("we," "us," "our") processes refunds for subscriptions and credit purchases on aidreamcompanion.com. By making a purchase, you accept this policy, which is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

1. Digital Goods & General Policy

AI Dream Companion provides digital, on-demand AI services. Once credits or subscription benefits are issued to your account, they are considered "rendered" — even if you have not yet used them — because they immediately consume computational resources allocated to you.

As a general rule, all sales are final and refunds are granted only in the specific circumstances described below.

2. Subscription Plans

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your Profilesettings or the customer billing portal.

  • After cancellation, you retain access to subscription benefits and credits until the end of the already-paid period.
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused days within an active billing cycle.
  • No refunds are issued for prior billing cycles, even if the Service was unused.
  • If your subscription auto-renews and you contact us within 48 hours of the renewal charge, we may issue a full refund of the renewal — provided you have not used any credits granted by that renewal.

3. Credit Pack Purchases

Purchased credit packs are non-refundable once any credit from the pack has been used. If you purchased a credit pack by mistake and have not used any credits, contact us within 7 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund at our discretion.

4. Failed Generations & Service Errors

If a generation fails on our side (server error, timeout before processing began, or an issue with our AI provider), credits are automatically refunded to your account balance. If you believe credits were incorrectly deducted, contact support and we will investigate and refund credits where appropriate.

Note: A successfully completed generation that did not match your expectation, prompt, or artistic preference is not grounds for a refund. AI output is inherently variable.

5. Eligibility for Refund

A refund may be granted if:

  • You were charged in error or charged twice for the same plan or credit pack.
  • An unauthorized transaction occurred on your payment method (please also contact your bank).
  • The Service was unavailable for an extended period (24+ hours) due to an outage on our side and you submitted a written claim within 14 days.
  • A subscription auto-renewed and you request a refund within 48 hours, with no usage of the renewed period's credits.
  • You purchased a credit pack within the past 7 days and have not used any of its credits.

A refund will not be granted if:

  • You used any portion of the credits or subscription benefits.
  • You changed your mind after the cooling-off windows above expired.
  • You are dissatisfied with AI output that was generated successfully.
  • Your account was suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service (including age, content, or fraud violations).
  • The request relates to a charge older than 90 days.

6. How to Request a Refund

  • The email address associated with your account.
  • Date and amount of the charge.
  • Last 4 digits of the card used (if applicable) or transaction ID.
  • A clear description of why you are requesting a refund.

We typically respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.

7. Chargebacks

We strongly encourage you to contact us first before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer — most issues can be resolved within 48 hours. Filing a fraudulent or unjustified chargeback (e.g., disputing a legitimate purchase you used) will result in:

  • Immediate suspension of your account.
  • Permanent ban from using the Service in the future.
  • Potential collection action to recover the disputed amount, fees, and damages.

8. EU / UK Right of Withdrawal

Where the Consumer Rights Directive (EU) or equivalent UK regulations apply, you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a digital purchase. By purchasing credits or activating a subscription, you expressly consent to immediate performance of the Service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once you begin using the credits or subscription benefits (per Article 16(m) of the Directive). If you have not used any benefits within the 14-day window, you may still request a refund.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in effect when you make a purchase governs that purchase.
